Sorry friends back in Spore.. I know you all are having exams rite now.. jia you!! its gg to be over soon and u can enjoy ur 3 months break =) erm.. unless u're one of the few who are taking the special sem.. such as grace and yt.. den ur hols is kinda short.. hmm.. but anyways!! all the best and persevere to the very end!!
hehe!! i juz cleared 2 tests today!! within a span of 4 hours.. gosh.. was so unprepared for the tests but its finally over!! still cant get over the fact that the stats lecturer told us to bring in a helpsheet the day b4 the test!! he told us that he would provide a formula sheet.. but sent an email yesterday saying tt we are to bring in our own helpsheet.. gosh!! i haven finish studying and had to help my friends out for the music test.. in the end wrote the stats helpsheet 1 hour b4 the test.. amazing.. and onli started studying for the music test slightly less than 2 hours b4 it.. anyway.. tot tt both tests were ok so it was alright.. even spotted a mistake in the music test question!! hehe!!
had a rather busy week since sch started.. but it has been quite fun!! toroa had a welcome back bbq on sun and it was gd.. msian nite this sat and there would be a performance and great food!! looking forward to it =p
will take a break today to recharge b4 chionging tml.. super long day cuz i've got physics lab and stats assignment due.. AGAIN.. eeks lar!!!
anyway.. other than the workload.. have been enjoying myself pretty much.. gonna be sad when the semester ends.. counted already.. left 7 more sundays in dunedin.. eekz!! tts fast lar.. exams are coming soon.. in abt a month or so.. haiya.. but in the meanwhile.. gonna enjoy myself!! =)

Feeling Relaxed
I'm back from another trip to Queenstown!! Although its my 3rd time there, I still love spending time there!! Lots of shopping to do, eating or relaxing by the lake, or doing some activities.. sigh!! i'm juz so contented with my life right now..
DAY 1
left toroa at 9am to meet tess, maly and tammy at Queenstown for lunch.. maly was cycling around queenstown when we arrived!!! she's enjoying herself too lar and it sounded so fun!! drove down to Kawarau River to watch Tammy bungee jump.. gdness.. although it isnt as high as maly's.. it was still scary.. and she touched the water with her hands!! some of the other jumpers before her were half submerged in water la.. quite funny actually.. and yana decided to bungee jump too!! gosh.. tts double the excitement and scariness in one day.. went on the gondola again and did the luge this time!! it was fun!! shld try it at sentosa when i'm back.. haha!! checked in at queenstown lodge and it was nice!! the room was big, there was a tv and an attached bathroom.. plus breakfast in the morning!! so the room was worth the money and most importantly, i had a gd nite slp! =)
DAY 2
tammy, yana and tosin had to leave early to go milford sound and i did not join them as i have been there twice already.. so continued sleeping till 8.40!! haha!! it was so gd lar.. woke up and went down for breakfast.. wow.. its was the western breakfast.. totally enjoyed it!! caught the 10am shuttle to town.. and while waiting for the shuttle.. i was juz browsing thru the queenstown guide book and saw horse-trekking!! went horse-riding when i was first in queenstown a few years back!! totally enjoyed it la!! and so decided to go town to check it out.. hehe!! ended up booking myself on the horse trek managed by Real Journeys which included a steamship to Walter Peak, where i was to go on my horse trek!! did many things on an impulse but i loved it.. no stress no hurry and it was really own time own target =p (OTOT)
had some time before the cruise so decided to go to the wharf and enjoy the beautiful lake. Heard a cafe playing some of my favourite songs and decided to get a hot choc and sit out in the open to enjoy the beautiful morning.. it was really relaxing juz to sit in the sun and listen to the songs.. i juz cant describe how amazing and relaxed i felt in a long while.. drinking hot choc and flipping thru guidebooks while facing the beautiful lake.. i felt so happy and contented!! after which i walked along the lake towards queenstown lodge, which was juz on the ourskirts of queenstown.. totally loved the calmness and serenity of the surroundings!! Lake Wakatipu is juz so beautiful and the water is so clear!!
Walked back to queenstown to the other side of the lake.. haha!! amazing views all around!! spent the whole morning juz by the lake.. soaking up the sun and juz enjoying the cool breeze.. there was a funny moment though.. cuz i had this thought that queenstown has become my fav place and i received a text from tess tt it was her fav place!! lol!! we seem to be thinking abt the same kind of stuff lots of time!! anyway.. it was an amazing morning juz to be by the lake and enjoying the serenity.. oh gosh.. i wish to be back there rite now and sit by the lake again!!
walked into town to do some window-shopping.. tess was right la.. i'm so familiar with queenstown.. can walk around without a map and stuff.. so i knew how to go wherever i wanted and not get lost.. saw many backpackers and saw some of them writing diaries.. made me want to buy a diary to record my feelings for tt day too!! i love the idea of backpacking and juz exploring with no schedules to think abt.. everything was OTOT!! i'm so gg backpacking in europe.. and i'll save money with this goal in mind!! =p
as i'm writing this entry.. juz cant seem to describe in words how i felt tt day.. no inhibitions, no rush, no worries and so carefree, loving every moment.. u would have to experience it for yourself!!
caught the 2pm steamship to Walter Peak, which a was 40mins cruise across lake Wakatipu.. amazing scenery on both sides of the ship and also, the steamship itself was beautiful!! the captain allowed a kid to steer the cruise along the way while he sat and gave directions.. was quite amusing lar!! managed to get a look at the engine room where the sailors were working.. it was an interesting experience!!

Walter Peak is actually a big farmland, with the mountain Walter Peak on it.. abt 28000 hectares.. tts huge lar!! and guess wad?? i was the only person on the horse trek!! yay!! did not manage to get the 12pm slot cuz there was no more space for me on the horse trek.. but i'm so glad tt i was the only one on the 2pm slot.. hehe!! cuz i had a chance to trot on the horse!! if it was a group.. den i would not be able to.. but cuz it was only me, the guide allowed me to trot the horse!! hehe!! it was so much fun!! after which i managed to catch the sheepdogs rounding the sheep and the sheep shearing show.. the shearer was so funny lar!! he asked the little kids to round the sheep and chase it back to the hills and told lots of lame jokes.. had afternoon tea which was provided, and it was in one of the beautiful cottages along the lake!!
took the steamship back to queenstown, and this time.. there was a sing-along session on the ship!! it was so fun and i enjoyed singing along to the piano.. and time seemed to fly juz liddat!! i felt sad tt the cruise had to end when we approached the jetty =( u noe wad?? i'm starting to feel frustrated at writing this entry cuz i juz cant seem to find words tt will aptly describe my feelings and describe the wonderful time i had.. but for my dear seetoh.. i will continue and grunt my way thru this entry!! haha!!
met up with april, wan and steven for dinner.. they had juz arrived in queenstown tt evening.. brought them around queenstown in search of some food.. could not decide wad to eat but they finally decided on a bar and restaurant and we ended up having steak... queenstown is really beautiful at nite.. but its cold cuz its gonna be winter soon.. went shopping and it was really fun!! i'm so gg back to queenstown again b4 i leave NZ!! caught the last shuttle back to the lodge and i was really contented and happy!! it had been such a great day and i loved every moment of it!! =)
PS: no worries if anyone thinks its not safe to wander around on my own.. i felt perfectly safe at all times.. and the pple here are all warm and friendly so it was perfectly safe!! =) but i think my parents will freak out if they knew i have been wandering around on my own.. haha!!
DAY 3
checked out of the lodge after breakfast and made our way back to dunedin.. stopped by arrowtown and wanaka.. arrowtown is a quaint little town where there used to be gold-panning by the river.. saw a small crew doing some filming by the river.. the town is really small but had a nice and cosy feeling!! went to lake wanaka and went to the puzzling world!! the maze and the illusion room was so amazing lar.. managed to find the 4 corners of the labryinth!! it was quite frustrating at first as we always seemed to end up back where we started.. but it was fun =) drove all the way back to dunedin as it was getting late.. but it had been fun =)
ooh!! forgot to mention that for this trip, each time i went to a lake.. i picked some pebbles for remembrance.. they are all quite unique and i've decided to bring them back to spore.. hehe!! i think my parents will flip tt i ship stones back.. haha!! cuz they're heavy if i collect alot.. and as it is.. its already quite heavy!!
hehe!! tess made dinner for me when i got back.. it was so fun juz catching up with her!! i feel like i'm living in bliss.. nice relaxing trip and a warm dinner when i get back.. ah!! thank you so much for the dinner tess!! it was great!! totally loved it =)

Off I Go!!
Will be leaving queenstown in less than hour!! so excited abt the trip =p
went shopping with yana yest to get stuff for the trip.. and we spent the evening making sushi and fried rice!! it was so fun and i enjoy preparing for these trips!! cant do this kind of thing in spore.. and especially not during mid-sem breaks cuz gotta study.. eeks!!
will be meeting up with tammy, tess and maly in queenstown for lunch!! and watch tammy bungee jump.. lol.. this will be a very gd break for me.. juz chilling out with gd friends and making my final decision.. seetoh!! dun stress me k!! i'll give careful consideration to the matter.. and tell ya when i come back on friday..
anyway.. off i go to do some last minute packing!! a gd break b4 the last half of the semester breeze past..

Mid-Semester Break
Mid-semester break is finally here!! what a terrible 3 weeks i had.. non-stop chionging of assignments and test and presentation.. i can finally take a break!! will go into hibernation for a few days to catch up on sleep.. haha!!
couldnt join tess, maly and tammy on their west coast trip as i have other commitments this wkend.. but its alright! went to west coast the last time i was in NZ so not missing much.. juz my friends who are away =( but i will be gg down to queenstown with yana and tosin to meet up with tammy on wed! =) it'll be fun watching them do bungee jumping and sky-diving.. hehe!! and mebbe meet up with april for dinner on thu at queenstown!! =)
gosh.. the weather has been rather crazy lately.. even though the sun is shining.. it is super cold outside with strong winds and the next minute it will start to rain.. i heard tt it was snowing in invercargill yesterday!! and its only autumn!! rain shine rain shine.. no wonder pple are falling sick... everyone pls take care!! prevention is better than cure!! so while u're having exams.. pls pls pls do not neglect ur health!! and my dear friends here in NZ.. pls pls pls wear more warm clothing!!
now on to my 3-way dilemma.. gg back to spore early july, end july or dec?? so wad has been troubling me??
dunedin has been a great place to live and study in!! my flatmates are great and i love my friends here!! they are great pple and i would miss them dearly!! and yes.. i also miss my dear friends in spore!! i rmb u all back home studying for exams or working!! another thing is the pace of life.. the style of teaching is also different here.. there's more independent learning.. and lectures here are only 50mins!! it has been quite easy for me to settle in since the first day i got to dunedin.. never felt homesick at all.. which many pple found it quite weird.. but tt was prob bcuz i feel so at home here!! even though its super cold in the morning.. i still enjoy waking up early and gg for physics lectures.. unless its a friday lecture, cuz i've got assignment due and i would sleep pretty late.. so i cant wake up on fridays.. haha!! i enjoy walking around town and doing my own grocery shopping.. there's so much independence!! i'm loving my life here and i dun wish to change it.. haiz.. will life be the same when i'm back in spore?? i dun think so..
so wad is holding me back from extending?? well.. commitments in spore such as oac'08!! i really wanna go for it cuz i missed it last year as i went to the US.. and i was involved in the early stages of the planning for this yr's camp.. it looks to be an exciting camp this year and i really want to be there!!! another event is Singapore's 2nd Boccia Invitational Open organised by SDSC, which i'm a registered volunteer.. helped out last year as a referee and it has been an awesome experience.. and this yr's open would be a bigger event than last yr since the countries will be preparing for Paralympics this year.. but still dunno whether i can referee in it since i'm onli a certified referee.. they may want only international referees.. i will only know next week..
have been helping out at a local boccia club here in dunedin.. to learn more about the game and help out with the training and train my playing skills as well.. it is definitely not an easy game to play and i really admire the athletes.. they are so accurate and could strategise so well!! helped out as a referee in last wk's boccia competition where players from christchurch and dunedin took part in.. it has been a great experience and exposure refereeing in a foreign country..
NZ will be having its Boccia Nationals in July.. and this time both north island and south island players will be taking part.. i juz wanna go watch the event and see the players in action.. cuz there are really good players from the national team taking part.. and so there would be exciting matches!! paul was saying tt if i went for the nationals, they would put me down for refereeing.. it sounds like another gd experience rite?? refereeing at a national tournament is an awesome opportunity!!
but if i stay in NZ for the nationals, i would be without accomodation for 3 weeks.. so where do i hang around and stay in the meantime till the nationals?? tts another thing to consider... haiya..
checked the dates of the competitions... NZ nationals is from 24-27 july and Spore's invitational open is from 28 july to 3 august.. but competition itself only starts on 30 july.. so i can definitely be able to attend both..
in a dilemma.. if i extend my sep.. will miss odac camp and the invitational open in spore... if i go back early july.. will miss the nationals here.. if i return to spore end july.. will miss the odac camp!! and i'll definitely miss NZ!!!

Tired!!
I had a great wkend!! learnt lots of things and had a great experience.. but super drained cuz it was mentally exhausting...
tired tired tired.. super super tired.. physics test coming up on wed evening... 2 stats assignment due on fri.. someone pls help me get enough energy to last the week...
gotta make some decisions which are gg to be tough.. lots of things to think abt.. but think i'll put it one side till next wk when its mid-sem break..

oh!! juz remembered abt the postcards!! some of u received the postcards already but some havent.. tts super weird can.. it was sent out in the same batch and it did not arrive at the same time?? eh!! let me know if u have or have not received my postcard lehz.. den at least i noe whose postcards are missing.. but hopefully if it was lost in the mail it would arrive this coming week.. no worries!! i put enough postage!! but it is still weird tt the postcards did not all arrive at the same time.. hmmz.. wonder if the postman was reading my postcards??!!
anyway.. this short update would be the only 1 from me.. too busy and too tired.. mebbe i'll update when the mid-sem break is here.. and after i have slept for 3 days and 3 nights to catch up on my slp.. den mebbe i'll have energy to think coherently and make the right decisions..
