Times have changed, things have changed, and people do change.. yeah.. i realised that i've changed.. is it a good or bad thing?? i'm not too sure myself..

SBIO
SBIO officially ended on sunday after the closing ceremony dinner.. and it is by far the most interesting tournament i have been to! at this tournament, i had learnt lots and gained precious experience, and more importantly, i learnt valuable lessons from the athletes themselves..
and guess who i met?? Teri from Canada, and Kerry from New Zealand!! Was totally surprised to meet them at the competition.. they were in Spore for classification.. and Kerry never mentioned that she would be at the competition la!! I knew that the new zealand team could not come over and so i wasnt expecting anyone from new zealand..
the competition was held over 3 days, and it was an eye-opener for me! there were 9 participating countries, taipei, macau, korea, japan, thailand, malaysia, kuwait, hong kong and singapore.. it is the biggest tournament i have attended so far.. and i had a glimpse of what it is like at a major event.. many different styles of playing and many different languages.. but what was common was their desire to win, their determination and perseverance, and their never-say-die spirit!
i've learnt lots from the other referees.. their steadiness and how they were able to focus completely on ensuring a fair match, and even though we had to stand for hours and referee in consecutive matches, their stamina really amazes me.. they're a fun lot, especially fauzi and zakaria! they never fail to make me laugh with their actions and words!
Although it was mentally and physically tiring.. i truly enjoyed myself at the competition.. and i hope to see all of them again if there is another competition held next year!
There was a Singapore tour organised for the athletes on Sun. The tour brought them to the Spore flyer, Merlion Park and Vivo City.. it was quite fun being a tourist!! too bad i did not go on the flyer as the tix cost 30 bucks!! super ex la.. so in the end fauzi and i juz walked around and were randomly snapping pics.. haha!! the merlion park was super fun.. had lots of fun snapping pics with the hong kong and spore athletes!! totally felt like a tourist la.. brought kerry and fauzi around vivo city and this made me feel like a tour guide.. haha!! from tourist to tour guide la.. wad a huge difference!! but it was fun spending an afternoon with them!! gonna miss them lots la..
Went back to the hotel so that the athletes could rest and change for the closing ceremony dinner.. it was during this dinner that made me realise how fast time passes, and there seems to be a special bonding between all of us.. but we would prob not get to see each other for at least a year?? haiz.. reminded me of my darling frenz in new zealand.. spending 1 semester with them.. but wont be able to see many of them for quite a while.. sigh.. hope they are all doing fine!!
after getting involved with boccia in Dunedin, and now here at the competition in Spore.. i have kinda committed myself to helping out in wadever i can with the local boccia team.. did not realli want to commit myself last year after the competition as i could not really make up my mind.. and i was also gg for exchange prog.. but now tt i'm back.. and getting myself involved in Dunedin.. i find that i do have a passion for the sport and do want to help in wadever i can..
school starting next week.. timtable seems alright.. luckily since i have no hostel.. already have a goal in mind and hopefully i will work towards it!! =p and stick to some sort of routine for the whole semester la..

somemore updates!!
so tired out from shopping yest la!! finally bought myself a new bag!! and i'm quite happy with it!!
went queensway with SH yest.. in the end both of us din get anything there la.. couldnt get my FBT shorts there also.. and mr SH couldnt bear to buy his stuff and kept saying tt the sports singlets were too ex.. lol.. ehz!! juz buy la.. went all the way there and nv get anything..
had lunch at ikea!! seriously.. it has been a super long time since i was there la.. since i had the large ikea near my house.. seriously felt like a foreigner in that part of singapore.. gosh.. but it was a nice and filling meal!! =)
in the end.. decided to go bugis to shop for my bag.. haha!! i saw a bag tt was pretty nice but mr SH said that it wasnt!! he chose bags tt were not nice la.. tt is with regards to my taste.. lol.. it was quite funny.. but he's a gd companion to shop with cuz somehow he managed to get a cheaper price at some shops la.. the sales assistants seem to like him.. gdness!!
met K at bugis street.. haha!! actually walked past him cuz i was too intent on looking at bags.. and apparently he din see me either.. until SH pointed him out la.. too bad i cant make it for the class gathering tonite cuz of tuition.. anyway.. all the best to him and his studies!! have a safe flight back to aust this sat!!
supposed to watch dark knight with SH, YQ and JH tml.. but apparently, onli SH and I were the ones interested la.. so on an impulse.. decided to catch the movie at bugis!! it's a muz watch!! totally love the plot and the characters.. gosh!!! muz watch muz watch!! but the ending was a little sad la.. shall not post any spoilers here.. go watch it!! shall want to catch the mummy next!! =p
so instead of watching a movie tml.. we would be playing badminton in the morning and going kbox after tt.. shld be fun la.. haven seen YQ and JH in ages.. after tml.. i would be super busy with SBIO.. until after 3 aug.. haha!! so if there are no updates from me during this period.. i din go MIA la.. juz too busy to update!! =p

some updates.. finally!!
it has been 1 month since i last blogged!!! and to update all.. i have been back for 3 WEEKS already!!! how time flies..
haha.. a short update la.. muz get into the mood for blogging first.. after a long break from it.. quite hard to squeeze my whole 3 weeks into 1 entry..
odac camp was the first event that took place when i arrived home!! had fun being a stand-in GL.. hehe.. the only downsides were tt i had to play the games and i was tortured by mr tan!!! gdness.. and was also dunked by him at east coast park.. luckily my grp was so nice and they helped me dunk him!! =p
went to watch hancock with some of the programmers!! lol.. it was so funny la!! i think LM and TF and i were laughing thruout the movie la.. and did i forget sth impt?? yah!! we actually bought 1 whole light cheesecake to eat during the movie.. we started eating b4 the movie but we were so engrossed in the movie tt none of us touched it.. but we finished it after the movie la.. we're so piggy can.. but it was fun!!
had a nice dinner outing with slytherin!! although half of the grp couldnt make it and mr edward was in hk.. it was still fun la!! celebrated kenny's and fariha's bdays!! had thai express at the paragon and walked over to swensens at the park hotel for dessert.. ended up playing some pirates card game there la.. but it was realli fun!! hope to be able to go for the next outing!! =)
went out with YT!! it was kinda nostalgic.. cuz the last time we met up was at TM.. juz a few days b4 i left.. and we ended up meeting again at TM!! dunno y la.. but i had a craving to go there.. den it kinda struck us tt we parted and met there!! had fun juz trying out clothes and walking around.. each of us bought a top and a bottom which was quite unlike us.. haha!! we realised tt we kinda changed a bit in the way we shop la.. cuz mebbe we have become older??
had a chalet over the weekend!! my mum organised it.. to have a family get together after i came back from NZ.. it was fun and super relaxed.. but din stay overnight cuz i had tuition the next morning and somehow still preferred my own bed.. haha!!
met up with tess and maly today!! at yakun in cathay!! it has been ages since i saw them la.. had fun juz crapping and toking and laughing!! maly is prob right tt we're perhaps the onli young adults tt hang out in yakun la.. but it was fun!! looking forward to seeing them at the boccia competition next week!!
gg to meet up with SH tml to go queensway!! will prob stop by vj to visit mr chan.. haha!! wanna get a new bag for start of sch.. haha!! and a pair of track shoes for my recent badminton craze =p
gg to watch dark knight this week too!! and mebbe kbox.. hmmz.. haven been in touch with chinese songs lehz.. not since the last kbox session with daisy, iram and the rest.. see first la..
spore's boccia invitational open next week.. excited and apprehensive at the same time.. shall start revising on all the rules and regulations and penalties soon.. hopefully i wont make a blunder at the competition!!
and most importantly.. i'm catching up on my sleep!! tts very impt to me la.. sch's starting and i shld be well rested.. lol.. i love hibernating =p

Sick
juz got back from queenstown.. and i'm sick!!! shucks la.. fell sick when i arrived and now sick again before i leave!!
eekz.. think its the flu or sth.. anyway.. my tropical room feels cold to me rite now.. wearing a sweater in my sauna-room.. eekz.. think i'm having a fever or sth.. sianz.. gg to start my north island touring tml and i'm sick!!
have i forgotten to mention tt i get motion sickness on a ferry?? gonna take a cruise on mon for whale watching at kaikoura, and a ferry across to the north island on tue!! i think tt the whale watching cruise shld be fine.. but the ferry one is prob gonna make me really sick.. tts wad happened the last time i was in NZ.. sianz..

Withdrawal Symptoms
I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms.. dun feel like gg anywhere.. juz feel like spending more time in my flat.. haiz.. and i'm definitely behind in my packing.. dun feel like packing at all lar.. everything is in a mess!!!
had my last paper yest.. was ok.. but did not know how to explain the relation of motif in the context of Beethoven's 5th symphony.. juz crapped one whole load of words..
anyway.. have been busy spending time with friends.. gonna miss them so much!! y is time so freaking short?? had a lovely lunch with tammy darling and tosin, and a lovely dinner with yana darling on monday!! we even went to take neoprints! lovely memories to keep with me all the time!! sharnita and theodora were such sweethearts too!! made me lunch and some cookies b4 my paper yest.. love ur butter chicken sharnita!! and ur cookies were juz so delicious!! thanks dora!!
thank u daisy for treating me to buffet dinner last nite!! and thank u cheng for treating me to kbox!! had such a lovely evening after my final paper!! had a very nice buffet in town.. and went to timezone (arcade) to pass some time while waiting for iram to go k-box!! it was so fun!! churned tix and managed to get a mini-set of poker cards which the lovely gals gave me for remembrance!! thank u daisy, cheng and ming xi!!
had a great time at k-box!! lol!! i missed singing at k-box lar.. kinda forgot all the chinese songs already.. have been listening to too many english songs!! but it was a very fun time! went a bit wild.. but it was memorable!! 3 hours seemed so short!! couldnt believe tt it was already past 11 when we ended.. so had to take a taxi back.. too late and cold to walk back!! but daisy and i took a little stroll around and had a nice chat.. gonna miss her so much!! will definitely be looking forward to seeing her in spore in the near future!!
had dinner with the boccia club today.. gonna miss them lots!! they were so nice to have me around and i've learnt heaps from them!! gordon was so funny.. gave me his address and told me to write a letter to him lar.. will definitely do tt!! paul is such a great person!! helped me with the testimonial and helped me lots during the south island tournament.. thanks paul!! thank u dave for giving me a lift every time and bearing with my questions!! great guy with a great personality and definitely dedicated to boccia!! gonna miss bunnie lots!! love her sense of humour and i feel that she has done lots with the older people.. defnitely gonna miss henk, gordon and karen!! all the best to henk for the coming paralympics in beijing!! and definitely gonna miss my dear partner gordon!! karen is such a cute character!! love her smiles and great personality!! will definitely visit when i come to NZ!! keep in touch!!

Random
Happy Birthday Maly!!!
hahaha!! its maly's birthday today.. and she will be having her first exam later.. all the best to her!! =)
juz had stat431 in the morning.. totally sux big time.. but i guessed if i studied for it i'll be able to do it.. but since i found out that i could not count this LEVEL 4000 paper to fufil my stats minor requirement.. couldnt really be bothered with this paper lar.. juz wanted a C in it.. i mean.. who takes a LEVEL 4000 paper as UE??? luckily its SU or i'll juz hate myself lar..
was counting my marks required to get a C for the whole paper.. i had 90% for presentation and participation, which accounted for 50% of the total internal assessment grade, and at that time did not know the project marks which accounted for the other 50% of the internal assessment marks.. but since the project was so last minute.. juz gave myself 80%.. so that gave me an average of 85% for my internal assessment mark!!
so assuming that i need a 55 to pass the whole paper, i would need onli 25/100 for the exam to pass!! haha.. mebe tts why i din study lar.. ended up watching videos online and playing with my facebook applications last night.. too many exams have made me not want to study.. anyway.. think its useless studying during the exam period.. no mood!!
but darn.. paper was upon 35 lar.. so i needed 9 marks to pass... dunno whether can get 9 marks lar.. din realise that need to memorise the expectation and variance of the beta distribution!!! tt whole freaking question cost me 6 marks!!! ehz.. lost 9 marks on dunno how to do.. den the last 2 questions which required the use of software and building own models.. dunno whether correct or not also.. this is so much worse than st2132!!! eeyer.. at least 2132 had helpsheet lar.. this one is realli.. indescribable..
but!!! the lecturer returned our projects after the exam.. haha.. he emailed me mine cuz mine was a soft copy.. couldn't email mine to him or print it out cuz the file was simply too big.. so went to his office with a thumbdrive for him to load it into his laptop.. he changed it to a pdf file when i got it back.. and i am quite pleased with my marks!! haha!! 97/100!! so shocking lar.. cuz i only started on the report the day b4 the deadline.. and i had no idea wad i was doing!!! but he said it was gd work lar..
so tt means!! my internal assessment result has juz increased from 85 to 93.5!!! and to pass this whole paper.. i'll need 16.5%.. which means i only need 6 marks out of a possible 35!!! haha!! so hopefully he'll give me marks here and there for some working and i can get the 6 marks i need!! =p
physics tml!! cant wait for it to be over!! can go eat kfc and watch dvd again!! haaha!! did i mention tt after my stats paper yest i went to rent dvds?? oops.. guess now u noe why i'm not in the studying mood alr.. =p

juz had stat431 in the morning.. totally sux big time.. but i guessed if i studied for it i'll be able to do it.. but since i found out that i could not count this LEVEL 4000 paper to fufil my stats minor requirement.. couldnt really be bothered with this paper lar.. juz wanted a C in it.. i mean.. who takes a LEVEL 4000 paper as UE??? luckily its SU or i'll juz hate myself lar..
was counting my marks required to get a C for the whole paper.. i had 90% for presentation and participation, which accounted for 50% of the total internal assessment grade, and at that time did not know the project marks which accounted for the other 50% of the internal assessment marks.. but since the project was so last minute.. juz gave myself 80%.. so that gave me an average of 85% for my internal assessment mark!!
so assuming that i need a 55 to pass the whole paper, i would need onli 25/100 for the exam to pass!! haha.. mebe tts why i din study lar.. ended up watching videos online and playing with my facebook applications last night.. too many exams have made me not want to study.. anyway.. think its useless studying during the exam period.. no mood!!
but darn.. paper was upon 35 lar.. so i needed 9 marks to pass... dunno whether can get 9 marks lar.. din realise that need to memorise the expectation and variance of the beta distribution!!! tt whole freaking question cost me 6 marks!!! ehz.. lost 9 marks on dunno how to do.. den the last 2 questions which required the use of software and building own models.. dunno whether correct or not also.. this is so much worse than st2132!!! eeyer.. at least 2132 had helpsheet lar.. this one is realli.. indescribable..
